Milestones

 

1967-1970 Studied fine art at Sheffield, Harrow and Norwich
1970 Travelled in Italy and France. Married.
1975 Launched on a period of printmaking for various presses
1976 Together with Geoerge Szirtes, set up the Starwheel Press, for production of portfolios of poems and etchings.
1984- Started to work on a larger scale, using paint, graphic and mixed media. First of several visits to Hungary. Also designing book jackets and undertaking book illustrations for publishers such as OUP, Bloodaxe, Macmillan, Secker & Warburg and Taxus.
1989 Spent eight months in Budapest, drawing and gathering material for works which were exhibited for two months at the Budapest National Historical Museum in 1993.
1992-2000 Visiting tutor at University of Westminster, Dept of Architecture
1994 Moved to Norfolk. Teaching, part-time, at Norwich School. Stage designs for Maddermarket Theatre, Norwich
